how the whole facebook thing works (resources)

Ok, for those of you unfamiliar with it, this is how it works:

If you don't have a FB page linked to the game already, link your account to it, or create a new FB page just for Evony. Link the account by clicking on the little FB tab in the top right section of the map in Evony.

Once linked, you can add alliance members (or any Evony players) to your FB, and then add them as allies. Add them as allies, once you're FB friends, by clicking on the "add allies" buttons located in the FB sidebar that comes up in Evony once your account is linked. You'll be directed to a FB page where you can request allies.

Ok, so you've got a bunch of allies, now what? You will have pupups from time to time that you can post to FB that will help you and your allies, by giving you troops, supplies, and more! You can click on these posts from facebook that your allies have posted to collect on them.

Also, once a day you can send gifts out to all your allies via the button at the bottom of the FB sidebar.

This will direct you to a FB page where you can select the gift you want to send, and then it allows you to select all your allies to send them to. Pick up the gifts that people have sent you in Facebook.

Finally, maybe the coolest thing you can do, is click on each one of your allies' pictures in the FB sidebar and select "visit empire."

From there, you will see a button at the bottom of their map screen that says "help increase production."

This will give you,

and your ally a resource pack, with mostly food, but some of every resource. You can do this once per day for up to 30 allies! (you can do more than 30, and they'll get a pack, but you're maxxed out at 30.)
